A sensibilidade da equipe encarregada pela limpeza pública de Rondonópolis salvou cinco filhotinhos de cães neste fim de semana.
Os animais estavam numa sacola colocada na lixeira e seriam prensados no caminhão da coleta, mas foram resgatados por um coletor e encaminhados para uma ONG do município. O caso ocorreu no sábado na Vila Mineira e até o momento não se sabe quem abandonou os cãezinhos.
A história viralizou após a divulgação de um vídeo feito pela equipe da coleta no momento do resgate. No vídeo um dos coletores mostra o momento do resgate e lamenta a atitude de quem abandonou os bichinhos.

“Colocaram os cachorrinhos numa sacola para os garis passarem e jogarem no caminhão. Uma malvadeza. O ser humano é complicado. Ainda bem que o Lucas Patrick viu e não jogou no caminhão”, diz um coletor ao explicar a situação.
Lucas Patrick e os colegas são da empresa Seger, contratada pelo Sanear para fazer a limpeza pública no município. Eles nunca tinham se deparado com uma situação assim e fizeram um apelo para que os donos de cães e gatos não repitam isso. “Se não quer o filhote, doe para alguém ou entregue para uma ONG”, orientam.
Além de ser um ato cruel, maltratar animais também é crime. As punições estão previstas na Lei nº 9.605/1998 e foram agravadas pela Lei 14.064/2020 com penas que varia de 2 (dois) a 5 (cinco) anos de reclusão, multa e proibição da guarda. Se o animal morrer a pena de reclusão pode ser aumentada um até um terço.
