No último final de semana, participei de um evento sobre VIOLÊNCIA CONTRA MULHER, COM ÊNFASE NAS MULHERES SURDAS, o evento me trouxe uma reflexão muito profunda, totalmente fora da minha, até então vivência.
Todos sabemos que a violência contra a mulher é um problema social e de saúde pública que atinge diversas esferas da vida das vítimas, provocando impactos físicos, psicológicos e sociais. Quando se trata de mulheres surdas, essa questão ganha contornos ainda mais complexos devido à intersecção entre gênero e deficiência, que potencializa as vulnerabilidades e as dificuldades de acesso a recursos e serviços de apoio.
Mulheres surdas enfrentam barreiras adicionais em comparação com outras mulheres. A comunicação é uma das principais dificuldades, pois muitas vezes não encontram intérpretes de Libras (Língua Brasileira de Sinais) em delegacias, hospitais e centros de apoio. Isso dificulta a denúncia de abusos e a busca por ajuda, criando um ciclo de silêncio e invisibilidade.
A falta de acessibilidade comunicacional perpetua a violência, já que muitas vezes essas mulheres não conseguem relatar os abusos sofridos ou entender plenamente seus direitos. Além disso, a dependência de terceiros para a comunicação pode aumentar o controle exercido pelos agressores. Em muitos casos, os próprios intérpretes ou familiares podem ser coniventes com a violência ou mesmo os perpetradores, utilizando a deficiência auditiva da vítima como um meio de manipulação e intimidação.
A falta de autonomia na comunicação coloca as mulheres surdas em uma posição de extrema vulnerabilidade. A falta de dados específicos sobre a violência contra mulheres surdas também é um problema significativo. As estatísticas geralmente não desagregam os dados por tipo de deficiência, o que dificulta a criação de políticas públicas direcionadas.
Sem informações concretas, fica mais difícil para os governos e organizações de apoio desenvolverem estratégias eficazes para combater a violência contra essa população específica. Outro aspecto importante é a conscientização da sociedade sobre os direitos e as necessidades das mulheres surdas. Campanhas de sensibilização que incluam a perspectiva da deficiência auditiva e que sejam acessíveis em Libras são fundamentais para promover a inclusão e o respeito.
Profissionais que lidam com violência de gênero, como policiais, médicos e assistentes sociais, precisam ser treinados para atender de maneira adequada e eficiente as mulheres surdas, garantindo que elas recebam o suporte necessário. A interseccionalidade entre gênero e deficiência auditiva exige uma abordagem multifacetada para o combate à violência. Políticas públicas devem considerar a especificidade dessas mulheres, promovendo a acessibilidade, a inclusão e a proteção de seus direitos.
Só assim será possível garantir que todas as mulheres, independentemente de sua condição, possam viver sem medo e sem violência. Em resumo, a violência contra a mulher é um problema profundo que se agrava quando a vítima é surda. A falta de comunicação e acessibilidade, o controle exercido pelos agressores e a ausência de dados específicos são desafios que precisam ser enfrentados com urgência.
A sociedade deve se mobilizar para criar um ambiente seguro e inclusivo para todas as mulheres, onde a violência não tenha lugar.
